Former Baylor student sentenced to 10 years' probation for drunk driving that killed classmate.

Norman Nyamandi Jr., a former Baylor University student, has been sentenced to 10 years of deferred probation for a 2022 drunk driving accident that killed fellow student Hannah Johnson. With a blood-alcohol level of 0.147, Nyamandi pleaded guilty to manslaughter and will serve 150 days in jail, perform 300 hours of community service, and use an ignition interlock device. Violating probation could lead to up to 20 years in prison.
