Luzon and Visayas power grids in the Philippines face red and yellow alerts due to forced outages at generating plants, resulting in thin power reserves. The National Grid Corp of the Philippines (NGCP) raised red alerts for Luzon between 3-4 pm and 6-10 pm, and a yellow alert for 4-6 pm and 10 pm to 12 midnight. Luzon's peak demand reached 12,671 MW with available capacity at only 12,832 MW, causing automatic load dropping in some areas.
