President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. led the ceremonial energization of the P68-billion Cebu-Negros-Panay (CNP) backbone project on April 8, aiming to double the power capacity of Negros and Panay islands. The 230-kilovolt CNP line and transmission facilities, completed by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), are expected to address the power challenges in Negros and Panay and contribute to a more sustainable and robust energy for the entire country.
