Former RCMP officer, William Majcher, charged with foreign interference, is seeking to quash the charges on jurisdictional grounds. His lawyers argue that Quebec is the incorrect venue for the case and the charges should have been filed in British Columbia or Ontario, where the alleged offences took place. Majcher is accused of helping China conduct foreign interference under the Security of Information Act and has been charged with conspiracy and committing preparatory acts for the benefit of a foreign entity.
