Quebec court judge allows ex-RCMP officer William Majcher's foreign interference case to proceed in Quebec.

Quebec court judge rules that case against ex-RCMP officer, William Majcher, charged with helping China conduct foreign interference can proceed in Quebec, rejecting Majcher's bid to quash the indictment. The judge stated that the law allows the Security of Information Act offence to be tried anywhere in Canada, regardless of where it was committed. Majcher is charged with conspiracy and committing preparatory acts for the benefit of a foreign entity.
