Foreign interference inquiry begins today, findings due May 3.

A federal inquiry into foreign interference in Canada's last two general elections began today, led by Quebec judge Marie-Josée Hogue. The two-week inquiry will focus on potential interference by China, India, Russia, and other countries. The commission expects to hear evidence from over 40 people, including community members, political party representatives, and federal election officials. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, members of his cabinet, and various senior government officials are scheduled to appear at the hearings, with an initial report of findings due on May 3rd.
