A man has been shot dead by police at a rest area on the Bruce Highway near Colosseum, 20 km south of Miriam Vale, Queensland. The incident occurred around 10:50 am. The man was driving a stolen car and was intercepted by two officers. There are substantial traffic delays due to the ongoing investigation. The Ethical Standards Command will investigate the incident, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
