46-year-old man, armed with a knife, was fatally shot by police officers after threatening them at Kirwan Police Station in Cranbrook at around 10 PM on Saturday. The Ethical Standards Command will conduct an investigation, with the Crime and Corruption Commission overseeing the process. The police will provide further information and updates during a briefing in Townsville at midday.
