Australia and Singapore announced a joint $20M initiative, the Australia-Singapore Initiative on Low Emissions Technologies (ASLET), to reduce maritime emissions. The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) will partner with Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) to develop green shipping technologies and port infrastructure, aiming for net-zero emissions from international shipping by 2050.
