National Grid has completed the installation of overhead conductors on all 116 new T-pylons for its Hinkley Connection Project in Somerset, UK. The T-pylons, supporting 12 conductors each, have led to the installation of 460 km of power lines, aiming to create a resilient and secure low carbon energy supply for millions in the region. By the end of 2024, it is expected that all T-pylons will be energized, while 67 km of existing overhead lines and pylons will be removed.
