Balfour Beatty secures £32m phase of Skye transmission scheme, a £690m project for Scottish and Southern Electricity Network Transmission (SSEN Transmission). The first phase involves detailed design and development of a 137km, 132kV double circuit overhead line, and could employ 650 workers at peak. This follows Balfour's appointment to SSEN Transmission's Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment framework in 2023.
