Australian magpie Molly reunited with owners after licensing dispute, under conditions for responsible wildlife care.

Australian magpie Molly, known for its social media friendship with two dogs, has been reunited with its owners, Juliette Wells and Reece Mortensen, after a licensing dispute with the Queensland government. Molly was surrendered due to a lack of a permit, but the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation granted a specialized license, allowing Molly to return home with certain conditions. The conditions require no further commercial gain from the bird, wildlife carer training for the couple, ongoing work with the agency, and an advocacy and public education role to promote responsible care for native Australian wildlife.
