On April 10, an Elliot Lake man assaulted a police officer at the OPP station after demanding non-police assistance.
An Elliot Lake man was charged for attacking a police officer inside the OPP station, after demanding assistance for a non-police matter. When officers tried to help, the individual became agitated and assaulted an officer, resulting in the man facing charges. The incident took place on April 10 at around 10 p.m. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) released a statement outlining the incident.
