39-year-old Cassandra Lavley, a Plumas County dispatcher, was arrested and charged with embezzlement and fraud after allegedly stealing over $20,000 from the "Needy Kids Account" for Christmas gifts. Lavley, who served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Plumas County Sheriff's Employee's Association, reportedly used the funds for personal expenses such as concerts, designer clothing, and furniture.
