Wind farms in Ireland broke records in March, generating 1,541 GWh of electricity, surpassing the previous March record of 1,392 GWh set in 2020. Wind energy provided 43% of Ireland's electricity, while the average wholesale price of electricity declined 40% to €88.67 per GWh. Kerry, Cork, and Tipperary were the top producers, generating enough electricity to meet nearly a third of Ireland's total electricity demand.
