Ireland's wholesale energy prices drop to 3-year low, electricity costs down 15.3% MoM, 46.8% YoY, but consumer groups claim slow price reduction for customers.

Wholesale energy prices in Ireland have dropped to their lowest level in three years, with electricity costs down by 15.3% in February compared to January and 46.8% compared to the same month last year, according to Central Statistics Office (CSO) data. However, consumer groups argue that energy companies are not passing on the lower prices to customers quickly enough. Electricity prices remain 50-60% higher compared to previous normal levels.
