Ireland's largest offshore wind project, Codling Wind Park, reduces turbine count by 25% while maintaining 1,300MW energy output and job creation.

Ireland's largest offshore wind project, Codling Wind Park, has reduced the number of required turbines by 25%, from 100 to 60-75, due to advancements in technology and a better understanding of the site. Located 13-22km off the east coast of Co. Wicklow, the wind farm will still generate 1,300MW of clean energy, enough to power over one million homes, despite the reduction in turbines. The project is expected to create 1,000 jobs during construction and 75 permanent positions when fully operational.
