Wind Energy Ireland (WEI) has warned that Ireland's 2025 budget may be the last chance to allocate resources necessary for delivering the 2030 Climate Action Plan. WEI has called for increased investment in planning bodies to accelerate renewable energy projects and for the government to invest in port infrastructure for the development of offshore wind energy. The industry also demands funding support for the development of electricity infrastructure, including energy storage and the national grid. WEI expects that the first phase of Ireland's offshore wind farms will be built in the coming years and is calling for funding to expand ports for building and maintaining these wind farms.
