Murderer of Benjamin Suttie, Harley Wegener, appeals conviction, causing distress to victim's family.
The family of murdered man Benjamin Suttie are upset by the killer's appeal, prolonging their ordeal. Harley David Wegener, who was jailed for life in Nov 2022 for Suttie's murder, is appealing his conviction. The Court of Appeal in Brisbane heard submissions about overturning Wegener's conviction. Suttie's sister, Jody Proctor, said the trauma of her brother's death had returned due to the appeal application.
