Metro Atlanta attorney Bryan Schmitt, whose murder conviction in a 2019 road rage incident was overturned by the Georgia Supreme Court due to a judge's mistake in jury instructions, has been granted bond by a judge. Schmitt, whose release is expected by the end of next week, testified that he never intended to hit Hamid Jahangard with his Mercedes. The conviction was reversed in April, and Schmitt is now awaiting a second trial.
