Kenya's MITI announces tax consultation requirements and counterfeit goods collaboration.
Kenya's Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industrialization (MITI) has announced measures to address tax concerns and counterfeit goods. No further tax increases will be imposed without consultation with traders, and monthly meetings at the DP's office will be held for key discussions. For counterfeit goods, the Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA) will collaborate with the Kenya Bureau of Standards to improve the Certificate of Conformity, and seized goods will be released within two weeks upon verification.
