Kenya's Revenue Authority reports a 4.3% rise in collections, totaling over Sh1 trillion in five months.

Kenya's Revenue Authority (KRA) has collected over Sh1 trillion in the first five months of the 2024/2025 financial year, a 4.3% increase from the same period last year. Customs taxes grew by 5.9% to Sh359.571 billion, while domestic taxes rose by 3.5% to Sh643.79 billion. Despite these gains, economic challenges such as low domestic demand and government austerity measures have impacted revenue collection. KRA aims to collect Sh2.704 trillion by the end of the financial year.
