Malaysian anti-corruption agency cracks down on e-cigarette smuggling, arrests 14 including customs officers.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is stepping up efforts to find more electronic cigarette smuggling rings after dismantling one at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). This operation led to the arrest of 14 people, including six Customs officers, and an estimated RM8 million tax loss. The MACC is now investigating other possible entry points and some Customs officers are under scrutiny.
