Logging resumed on Kangaroo Island after koala deaths, with Environment Minister Susan Close approving the resumption following submission of a new koala management plan by AAG Investment Management. The South Australian government had halted logging after videos showed koalas falling to their deaths in timber plantations. The new plan aims to prevent further deaths while continuing the removal of invasive Tasmanian blue gums.
