1,188-acre Rocky Branch Wildfire forces closure of several trails in Shenandoah National Park; 10% contained.

Shenandoah National Park has closed Hull School Trail and Thornton River Upper Trail due to the 1,188-acre Rocky Branch Wildfire. Closures include Skyline Drive, Appalachian Trail, Rocky Branch Trail, Neighbor Mountain Trail, Jeremys Run Trail, and Byrds Nest 4 shelter. Firefighters have contained 10% of the fire, working with Luray Fire Department and Virginia Department of Forestry. The cause is unknown.
