The Trail Fire near Red Rock Road in the North Valleys area has expanded, prompting evacuations for residents in the evacuation zone from North Virginia Street to the area near Peavine Peak and Horizon Hills Trailhead. The fire is now estimated to be between 100-125 acres, driven by winds. Nearly 3,700 people in the Stead area are without power. Firefighters are working to control the blaze using ground crews and air suppression.
