Olathe, Kansas resident Chad Williams set a world record for paddlefish catch at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, breaking the previous state record of 140 pounds and the previous world record of 164 pounds. Williams, who had never snagged a fish before, caught the massive 164-pound, 13-ounce fish on his first-ever snagging trip. The previous state record was 140 pounds, and the previous world record was 164 pounds. This is the second state-record fish caught in 2024.
