Former Jaguars financial manager, Amit Patel, was sentenced to 78 months in prison for embezzling over $22M from the NFL team through its virtual credit card program. Patel pleaded guilty to felony charges of wire fraud and illegal monetary transaction in December. He used the funds to purchase luxury goods, online betting, charter private jets, and a condominium. Patel was ordered to repay $21M.
