Former HMRC worker sentenced for aiding ex-husband in £3m money laundering scheme.

Former HMRC employee Kuldip Badesha was given a suspended 14-month sentence for helping her ex-husband, Ranbir Singh, launder over £3 million. Singh was jailed for six years for money laundering. Badesha provided false HMRC documents to enable Singh to open bank accounts and was ordered to do 180 hours of unpaid work. The source of the laundered money is unclear, but it funded their lavish lifestyle.
