Spain has banned Sam Altman's Worldcoin for up to three months amid privacy concerns, following complaints about insufficient information, collection of data from minors, and not allowing withdrawal of consent. Worldcoin, which scans irises to grant a digital ID and free cryptocurrency, faces criticism for processing biometric data. Spain's data protection regulator, AEPD, demanded the project cease data collection and stop using existing data.
