Seven individuals in Singapore are under investigation for allegedly trading accounts and tokens linked to Worldcoin, a biometric cryptocurrency project co-founded by Sam Altman. Worldcoin collects iris scans for digital IDs and tokens. Although it does not fall under the Payment Services Act, selling these accounts may violate regulations. Concerns over data privacy have prompted the Personal Data Protection Commission to engage with Worldcoin on safeguarding personal information.
