Qantas Airways has been fined A$250,000 by the New South Wales state district court for illegally firing an employee, Theo Seremetidis, who raised COVID-19 safety concerns about cleaning planes arriving from China in 2020. Qantas has acknowledged the impact of this incident on Mr. Seremetidis and apologised to him.
