Qantas pays $100m finefor selling tickets on cancelled flights.

Australian flag carrier Qantas agreed to pay a $100 million fine and compensate 86,000+ passengers for selling tickets on thousands of flights it had already decided to cancel. Qantas will pay between $225 to $450 to affected customers as part of a $20 million remediation program, settling a legal dispute with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. The airline admitted that between May 21, 2021, and August 26, 2023, it advertised tickets for tens of thousands of flights that it had already decided to cancel.
