Illinois judge Robert Adrian has been removed from the bench after a judicial oversight body found him guilty of misconduct and circumventing the law. Adrian sparked outrage in October 2021 when he reversed the rape conviction of 18-year-old Drew Clinton, who had been found guilty of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl. The Illinois Courts Commission found that Adrian engaged in multiple instances of misconduct, abused his position of power, and circumvented the law.
