The NLRB ruled that Home Depot broke the law by punishing a worker for wearing "Black Lives Matter" insignia and ordered reinstatement and back pay.

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has ruled that Home Depot broke the law by requiring workers to remove "Black Lives Matter" insignia from their uniforms and punishing one for refusing to do so. The board stated that employees wearing BLM letters on their attire to discuss race issues at work were engaging in "protected concerted activity." As a result, the NLRB has ordered Home Depot to offer reinstatement and back pay to a worker who resigned rather than remove their BLM marking.
