On Wednesday, customs officials at Mumbai Airport confiscated 24K rhodium-plated gold weighing 386 grams. Gold was concealed in a purse, mobile charger, and hairdryer. Earlier, airport commissionerate and Mumbai customs officials seized 6.33 kg gold worth INR 3.49 crore from five Indian nationals in various cases at the airport. Customs officials in Guwahati also seized 1997.96 grams of smuggled gold worth INR 1.28 crore from one individual.
