Indian customs seized nearly 1 kg of gold from a traveler and over 400 grams from three Uzbek nationals at Delhi's airport.

A man traveling from Indore to Delhi was arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport after customs found 999 grams of foreign gold worth about Rs 72.72 lakhs in his luggage. The gold was detected through X-ray scanning based on intelligence tips. In a separate incident, three Uzbek nationals were caught at the same airport with over 400 grams of gold hidden in their bodies, valued at about 15 million rupees. Both incidents highlight increased vigilance at the airport to stop illegal gold smuggling.
