An employee of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Satyendra Siwal, was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP ATS) in 2024, accused of spying for Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). He was reportedly providing confidential information on diplomatic and military activities in exchange for money. Siwal worked at the Indian Embassy in Moscow and has been charged under Section 121A of the Indian Penal Code and the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
