Yadav, a suspected tout, was detained under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) as part of a money-laundering investigation. The ED's investigation stems from a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) FIR and charge sheet, identifying Yadav as the 'kingpin' of a network that secured candidates willing to pay between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 30 lakh for access to the leaked exam paper.
