Kansas City's streetcar service resumed, connecting downtown to the new $61 million Riverfront Extension.

Kansas City's streetcar service resumed Friday after an 11-day construction and testing period, connecting the downtown line to the new Riverfront Extension at 3rd Street and Grand Boulevard. The $61 million project, started in March 2024, aims to link downtown to the Riverfront, including the CPKC Stadium. Despite the service resuming, construction will continue on Grand Boulevard between 2nd and 3rd Street.
