Kansas City Current owners plan a $800m development project alongside CPKC Stadium, including residential units, public spaces, and affordable housing, with the first phase starting before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Kansas City Current owners have announced plans for a $800m development project alongside their recently opened CPKC Stadium on the Missouri River waterfront. The project, set to break ground later this year, will create a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood with residential units, public recreation spaces, and restaurant locations. The development, led by the KC Current, Port KC, Palmer Square Capital Management, and Marquee Development, will also include affordable housing and new jobs. The first phase of the project is expected to begin at the end of the year, with completion before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
