Eating lots of ultra-processed foods raises type 2 diabetes risk, UCL study finds.

A University College London study of over 300,000 people found that eating a lot of ultra-processed foods increases the risk of type 2 diabetes. Ultra-processed foods, such as sugary drinks, packaged snacks, and processed meats, often contain unhealthy fats and additives that can lead to insulin resistance. To reduce this risk, the study suggests switching to healthier foods and exercising regularly.
