The CFPB sues Rocket Homes for allegedly steering clients to sister companies and restricting competition.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has sued Rocket Homes and affiliated brokerages for allegedly violating the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA). The CFPB claims Rocket Homes offered incentives to real estate agents to steer clients towards Rocket Mortgage and Amrock, sister companies. It also alleges that Rocket Homes restricted agents from discussing competing lenders and charged higher fees to clients who did not use the Rocket Homes network. Rocket Homes denies these allegations, calling them false.
