Federal appeals court allows DOJ to reopen antitrust probe into NAR home sale commission rules.
A Federal appeals court has cleared the way for the Justice Department to reopen an antitrust probe into the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and its rules on home sale commissions. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals panel ruled that the settlement agreement reached by the DOJ and NAR in 2020 does not prevent the DOJ from reopening its investigation into the trade group’s Participation Rule and Clear Cooperation Policy.
