Real estate brokerage Compass agrees to pay $57.5M to settle claims it conspired to overcharge US home sellers, becoming the first major firm to reach a settlement sum. This follows the National Association of Realtors (NAR) agreeing to pay $418M on behalf of smaller brokers. Tens of millions of US home sellers are likely to receive payouts from these settlements.
