During the third week of the Festive RIDE campaign, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in the East Region arrested 20 more impaired drivers, totaling 65 since November 21. Officers conducted over 600 RIDE programs, issuing 20 warning-range suspensions that led to license suspensions and vehicle impoundments. Chief Superintendent Lisa Wilhelm urged the public not to drive impaired during the holidays and to report any suspected impaired drivers by calling 9-1-1.
