OPP arrested 113 impaired drivers during their Festive RIDE campaign from Nov. 21 to Jan. 1.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested 113 impaired drivers during their Festive RIDE campaign from November 21 to January 1, with 10 arrests in the final week. The campaign involved nearly 1,200 RIDE programs, issuing 29 warning-range suspensions. Despite the campaign, impaired driving remains an issue, with a recent survey showing an increase in Ontarians driving under the influence of cannabis. The OPP will continue to monitor for impaired drivers year-round.
