Lamborghini has delayed the launch of its first electric vehicle to 2029, citing the luxury sports car market's unpreparedness for full electrification. CEO Stephan Winkelmann stated the company is waiting for clearer EU regulations on the ban of internal combustion engines, currently set for 2035. In contrast, rival Ferrari plans to release its first EV in 2025. Lamborghini currently offers three hybrid models and emphasizes it will continue making cars in Italy.
