Jaden Crowner, 20, was found guilty of first-degree murder for the 2020 killing of 29-year-old Walters Elangwe in Annapolis, Maryland. Elangwe was shot after arriving at an apartment complex to buy an iPhone. Crowner, previously convicted of another murder and sentenced to life, faces additional sentencing on April 30, 2025. The conviction was based on cellphone records and surveillance footage.
