Solar company Charge Solar sues Canada's border agency over wrongful detention of $5M solar panel shipment.

A Victoria-based solar company, Charge Solar Renewables Inc., is suing Canada's Border Services Agency (CBSA) for wrongfully detaining a $5 million shipment of solar panels, claiming false suspicions of forced labor in China. The CBSA has disclosed that only one of the many detained shipments was found to violate the forced labor ban. The lawsuit aims to recover damages caused by the months-long detainment, which the company says damaged its market position.
